Making a Reservation
How do I find the rental, that will suit all my needs, at Happy Camp Hideaway?
There are two ways to find the perfect rental at Happy Camp Hideaway.
The first (and recommended way) is to utilize the advanced search feature at the top of the Rentals page. Select the 'minimum occupancy', 'minimum bedrooms' and whether or not the rental needs to be pet friendly. Choose a price range that best suits your budget and the dates you plan on checking in and checking out. This will narrow your search down to available units that fall in your specification requirements.

Can I call to make a reservation over the phone?
Yes you can. You can call (503) 842-5953 and speak to a representative. If a representative is not available to help you, please leave a message on the Happy Camp Hideaway voice mail. Please leave your name and number, and a Happy Camp representative will get back to you. Please be sure to mention that your message is in regards to making a reservation.
What types of rentals does Happy Camp Hideaway offer?

How do I check in to my rental?
Happy Camp Hideaway Resort is located at 825 Happy Camp Road in Netarts, Oregon. The managers office is located at the resort between cabin #6 Private Getaway and cabin #7 Kindred Spirits. Office hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm 7 days a week. Vacation Rentals #1 through #9 are located at the Happy Camp Hideaway Resort. Vacation rental homes #10 through #27 are located, adjacent to the Resort, on Happy Camp Road. You check in to your rental by picking up the keys at the managers office. There is parking available in front of the managers office. Vacation rental home #28 is located a short drive from Happy Camp Hideaway. You can pick up the keys to that rental or make arraingments to have Happy Camp staff meet you at the home, with prior notification. Please call for key pick up information for stays at The Schooner Inn Oceanside.
Am I expected to clean my rental before I leave?
We want you to enjoy your visit to Netarts right up to the last minute. So, we only request that you leave the home in reasonable condition by bagging your trash and leaving things in a reasonably orderly manner. Leave the basic cleaning to our housekeepers—it is included in your cleaning fee (for larger rentals only). However, excessive cleaning or damage may be charged. Please be aware that the expectation in pet friendly units is that you clean up all animal hair that has been shed.
Will I be able to get into my rental if I arrive after office hours?
If you are going to arrive after hours, please call a representative at Happy Camp Hideaway as soon as you can. Appropriate measures will be taken to insure that you will be able to check in to your rental when you arrive. Rest assured, you will be taken care of at Happy Camp Hideaway.

What do I need to bring with me?
At Happy Camp Hideaway, you need only arrive with your clothes and your groceries. All of our cabins and rental homes come complete with bed and bath linens, soap and paper products.
Do I need to bring my cooking essentials such as pots, pans and spices?
Pots, pans and basic spices are provides in all the rentals at Happy Camp Hideaway! If you require specialty cooking supplies or specialty spices for your meals, call ahead and we will let you know if you have to bring them.
Do I need to bring my coffee pot and coffee grinder with me to enjoy a cup of Joe?
No! Every rental at Happy Camp is equipped with a coffee maker and coffee grinder. Some rental even have esspresso makers but those are more limited. If you want to know if your rental has an esspresso maker, feel free to call and ask.
Policies
Do I get a refund if I cancel my reservation?
Because our properties book by advance reservations only, and we incur costs from cancellations, we must charge a procesing fee for cancellations for any reason once the reservation is booked and the deposit received. Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the reservation date will incur a $25.00 penalty to cover costs of reimbursement. In the event of multiple units booked on one reservation the penalty will be $25.00 or 5% of the total your reservation, which ever is greater. Cancellations made less than thirty (30) days but more than fifteen (15) days will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the security deposit. Cancellations less than fourteen (14) days from the arrival will result in a cancelation fee equal to the security deposit. Cancelations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment. Late arrival or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. We do make every effort to be considerate of our guests' emergency situations, and if we are able to book a replacement rental, we will refund the payment, less a $75 cancellation fee, to the original guest.
Please be aware that we DO NOT offer full refunds for weather related cancellations. The cancellation policy still applies.
Can I bring my pet to Happy Camp Hideaway?
We love your pets-but we have a few rules that you must agree to prior to bringing them to Happy Camp Hideaway.
- Not all rentals are pet friendly. Please see individual units page to see if pets are allowed. Any guest bringing pets into a non-pet friendly unit is subject to cancellation of reservation without any refund.
- No barking or aggressive dogs.
- DO NOT leave pets in cabins, or vacation homes, unattended. Any damage will be your financial responsibility.
- Please clean up after your pet. We have dog elimination bag dispensers on site.
- Please clean up any pet fur prior to checking out. The cleaning that we provide is for our human guests and not for shedding pets. Please be respectful of this as we generously do not charge pet fees to our guests.
Am I expected to clean my rental before I leave?
Does the pricing, on the rentals, change depending on the time of year?
Happy Camp Hideaway is a seasonal business and therefore rental rates vary throughout the year. There are two rental rate seasons, a Prime Season and a Quiet Season. Prime Season rental rates are higher than Quiet Season rental rates. Prime Season is from May 15th through October 15th. Quiet Season is from October 16th through May 14th with the following exceptions: Spring break (March 18th through March 27th), the Thanksgiving holiday period (Wednesday before Thanksgiving through the Saturday after Thanksgiving) and Christmas through New Years (December 23rd through January 1st). What happens if I exceed the maximum occupancy of my rental?
Please be aware that each unit has it's own maximum occupancy that is strictly enforced. The maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded at any time for any reason. If the maximum occupancy is exceeded, then your reservation will be cancelled and you will be asked to leave. You will not receive a refund. You will be added to the DO NOT RENT LIST and will not be able to rent from Happy Camp Hideaway going forward. In the event that you have more guests than expected (and exceed the maximum occupancy), please notify Happy Camp Hideaway in advance to book an additional rental unit to accommodate your extra guests.
Are their taxes added to my rental?
Yes. Effective January 1, 2014, Tillamook County has implemented a 10 percent lodging tax on all rentals. In addition, the State of Oregon has a 1.8 percent lodging tax. These will be added to your lodging cost. We apologize for this added cost.
