About Happy Camp Hideaway Resort
Bruce and Theresa Lovelin fell in love with Happy Camp Hideaway and purchased it the year 2000. At that time they moved from Portland to Netarts, Oregon and manage the resort full time.
The historic Happy Camp contains rustic beach homes built in the early 1900s. They have been renovated many times but still have the uneven floors and coastal ambience of a 1950s Oregon coast cabin. Incidentally, many any guests have witnessed a friendly ghost that occasionally leaves marbles in the cabins. The ghost is believed to be a playful young boy who lost his life many many years ago.
Since 2005, there have been many lovely vacation rental homes built on Happy Camp Road directly adjecent to the resort. It is the distinct pleasure of Bruce and Theresa to manage and rent out many of those homes as well. They range from two to five bedrooms and provide a luxury vacation rental experience. Today, Happy Camp is comprised of 28 homes and cabins.
Happy Camp Hideaway is located at the mouth of Netarts Bay providing both the Pacific Ocean and a protective bay. Dungeness Crab and multiple varieties of Clams are abundant nearby. The famous Netarts Bay Oysters are available for purchase too! The area has several fine restaurants for clam chowder and other seafood dishes.
